Line Painter – Evening/Night Shift

As a Line Painter, you will be responsible for working with a crew of 1-2 workers to complete Road pre-marking, reapplication of existing road markings, and parking lot line painting. You will operate pavement marking trucks and hand equipment while ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

  • All applicants must demonstrate effective communication skills between clients and staff, as well as the ability to follow directions.
  • The ability to respectfully communicate with our customers is crucial and should always be upheld.
  •  Experience leading or supporting a pavement markings crew across municipal, regional, and commercial projects
  •  Confidence in setting up and removing traffic control equipment safely and efficiently
  • Hands-on experience running hand-painted or durable crews, applying traffic paint and MMA to roadways and parking lots
  • Ability to operate pavement marking trucks and related equipment for waterborne, solvent-based, and MMA applications
  • Strong planning skills to organize nightly work routes and keep projects on schedule
  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings for accurate pre-marking and layout of intersections, roadways, and parking lots
  • Leadership and teamwork skills to guide crew members and maintain a safe, productive work environment
  • Mechanical awareness to perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs
  • Attention to detail in completing work orders, tracking materials, and maintaining accurate job documentation
  • A strong commitment to following all workplace safety regulations
  • Line Painting: 1 year (required)
  • Commercial painting: 1 year (required)
  • Experience with pavement marking projects
  • Strong knowledge of traffic control setup & HRM safety requirements
  • Experience applying traffic paint markings
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (or equivalent) & clean abstract
  • Mechanical aptitude, equipment maintenance & troubleshooting (Graco Paint equipment/sprayers)
  • Physically fit – able to lift and carry 50 lbs
  • Expected to have your own transportation to and from our shop
  • Comfortable with shift work (primarily nights)
